The Observatory recently collected soil samples at King's Park to see if there was any deposition of artificial radioactivity onto land surfaces. Measurement results indicate that no artificial radionuclides were detected in the soil samples.

In respect of air samples collected last week, apart from very minute amount of radionuclide Iodine-131, no other artificial radionuclides were detected in samples for King's Park, Yuen Ng Fan and Sha Tau Kok.
