Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The weather is generally fine over southeastern China.

The area of low pressure to the west of Luzon has
intensified into a tropical depression. At noon, the
tropical depression was centred about 440 kilometres
north-northwest of Manila. It is forecast to move
east-northeast at about 20 kilometres per hour across the
Luzon Strait.
Meanwhile, Severe Tropical Storm Ampil was centred about
180 kilometres north-northwest of Okinawa. It is forecast to
move northwest at about 30 kilometres per hour across the
East China Sea.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly fine and very hot. Isolated showers later. Light
winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine and very hot with isolated showers
tomorrow. More showers in the following couple of days.
