Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A ridge of high pressure is bringing mainly fine weather to southeastern China. Meanwhile, showers are affecting the northern part of the South China Sea. At noon, Severe Tropical Storm Sanvu was centred about 660 kilometres south-southwest of Iwo Jima. It is forecast to move north or north-northwest at about 16 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the seas south of Japan. Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight It will be cloudy. Sunny periods in the afternoon. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first. Outlook : Becoming more showery in the next few days.
