In 1999 and 2001, the TV documentaries "Meteorology Series" jointly produced by the Hong Kong Observatory and Radio Television of Hong Kong were well received by the public. For the third time, the Observatory and Radio Television Hong Kong partnered in producing a new TV documentary "Meteorology Series III" in 2005. To support the "International Strategy for Disaster Reduction" of the United Nation, this series focuses on natural disasters and climate change. The 8-episode series was broadcast on TVB Jade from 22 March to 10 May. The public acclaim and TV ratings about the series are very encouraging.
