The Hong Kong Observatory organizes several visits for members of the 'Friends of the Observatory' every year to promote their understanding of the work of the Observatory.  The latest visit to the Airport Meteorological Office on 11 October was particularly popular and attracted more than 100 applications as it is located in the airport's restricted area.  Through lucky draw, 14 members were selected to join the tour.  Scientific officer Dr Li Ping-wah introduced in detail the work of the office and the cutting-edge meteorological equipment.  The visitors all cherished the rare opportunity to raise questions and take photos everywhere.
