  • Job Shadow Day at the Observatory

  • Tuesday, 7th March 2017

The Observatory participated in the Job Shadowing Program organized by the Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JA HK). More than ten Secondary 5 students underwent job shadowing at the Observatory in February. Under the guidance of the Observatory’s mentors, they experienced the work of different posts of the Observatory. The students expressed that this precious experience allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the scope of work and services of the Observatory. They particularly appreciated the rigorous scientific spirit and dedicated working attitude of the Observatory’s staff. They also learned the importance of time management, especially on how to respond agilely under unexpected situations. The students believed that these attributes are essential for their careers in the future.
