A capacity audience of some 70 members of the public attended the public course on "Weather Observation" conducted by the Hong Kong Observatory at its Headquarters on the mornings of 28 August and 11 September 2010. This 6-hour public course covered topics that include the basics and techniques of weather observation, application and interpretation of observation reports, etc. Positive and encouraging feedback from the audience was received. Most participants considered the course informative, interesting and well conducted, and regarded the course as a fruitful experience.
