The Observatory holds a management forum every month, inviting distinguished personnel from different sectors to share with Observatory colleagues their management insight and experience.
The speaker this November was Dr Lee Wai-choi, Eddy. Eddy is one of our former colleagues, a renowned writer and proponent of popular science, and an education expert with experience in management and research of curriculum and business development in a tertiary educational institute in Hong Kong. Speaking with a title of "Managerialism and a Caring Organization - In Search of the Middle Path", Dr. Lee elaborated on the evolution of managerialism and gave an indepth analysis of the problems it gave rise to.
The forum was highlighted by Dr. Lee's sharing with colleagues in an eloquent and entertaining manner, stimulating the audience to explore the true meaning of management.
