At the invitation of the Hong Kong Award for Young People, the Hong Kong Observatory was appointed as their Honorary Adviser of the Expeditions Instructor Central Registration Scheme to provide expert advice on meteorology.  The aim of the scheme is to enhance the professionalism and recognition of the instructors.  Miss Y.S. Li, Scientific Officer of the Observatory, participated in the launch ceremony of the scheme on 17 October and received the certificate of appointment.
