Delegates from the National Meteorological Center visited the Observatory
A delegation of six members from the National Meteorological Center (NMC) visited the Observatory during 11-14 January 2011 for sharing of knowledge and experience in many aspects, including weather forecasting techniques, numerical weather prediction models, climate forecast, etc. They also paid a visit to the Tai Mo Shan weather radar station. The delegation presented a briefing of the recent operational and research activities in NMC. This enhanced the Observatory's staff in understanding the work of the Center. The delegation leader Mr Wang Jianlin, Director of Business of NMC, highly appraised the work of the Observatory and welcomed forecasters from Hong Kong to visit Beijing for deepening the exchange between the Observatory and NMC.
