The Observatory website winning the 2009 Meritorious Website Contest
The Observatory website was awarded one of the ten most meritorious websites in 2009. This was the second consecutive years for the Observatory website to win this award. The winning websites were determined by online voting by the public as well as judged by a Professional Adjudication Panel with reference to the information content and user-friendliness of the websites.
This award represents public's appreciation of the Observatorys work. The Observatory will continue to enrich its website to meet the need of the public.
"2009 Meritorious Website Contest" was organised by the Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority. The co-organisers included the Education Bureau, the Committee on Home-School Co-operation, the Hong Kong Internet Service Providers Association and the Radio Television Hong Kong. The objectives of the contest were to encourage young people to pay more visits to healthy websites and to recognise the contributions of producers of healthy websites.
