Delegates from the Beijing Meteorological Bureau visited the Hong Kong Observatory
Seven delegates from the Beijing Meteorological Bureau visited the Hong Kong Observatory during 6-7 October. Knowledge and experience in weather forecasting and warning services, numerical prediction models, tropical cyclone information processing system and forecasting techniques, were exchanged. The delegates appraised the weather forecasting and warning services as well as the forecasting tools of the Observatory. Head of the delegates, Mr. Xun LI, Deputy Director of the Beijing Meteorological Service Office presented a briefing of the work of the Beijing Meteorological Service Office. This enhanced our understanding of the meteorological services in Beijing.
