Observatory co-organized Mountaineering Safety Promotion Day
To enhance public awareness of mountaineering safety, the Civil Aid Service joined hands with 17 government departments and non-governmental organizations to hold the "Mountaineering Safety Promotion Day" on 14-15 November (Saturday and Sunday). As one of the co-organizers, the Observatory set up a booth to introduce weather affecting mountaineering and hiking, and gave a talk on Weather and Outdoor Activities. More than ten "Friends of Observatory" volunteers helped man the booth and enjoyed a happy weekend with the visitors.
