Observatory staff awarded Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service
Three Hong Kong Observatory colleagues Mr Leung Wing-mo; Mrs Lam Kwong Si-lin, Hilda; and Dr Yeung Kwok-chung were awarded the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service in 2009. They were commended for providing outstanding meteorological service in support of the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events. The award presentation ceremony was held on 17 October at the Government House.
The former Director, Mr Lam Chiu-ying, was also awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) for his dedicated and outstanding service to the Government and the Hong Kong community.
