The Hong Kong Observatory gave two identical seminars entitled 'Weather and Outdoor Activities' to the instructors of the Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) on 7 May and 5 June. The seminars aimed to introduce to the instructors basic meteorological knowledge, types of weather that may affect outdoor activities and how to use meteorological information provided by the Observatory. Around 80 instructors attended the seminars.
