The Observatory's motor driver, Mr Li Kwong-leung, has been awarded the 10-year Safe Driving Award Certificate in the 2010 Safe Driving Award organised by the Government Logistics Department. This is a recognition of his vigilance and prudence in driving. Mr Li has worked in the Hong Kong Observatory for over 9 years and is currently the driver of the departmental vehicle of the Airport Meteorological Office in Chek Lap Kok. The Safe Driving Award aims to promote road safety among government driver grades staff and recognise their meritorious performance in safe driving. The Award presentation ceremony was held on 16 December 2010.
