The Wind Shear Systems Acquisition Workshop was held at ICAO's Asia and Pacific Office in Bangkok, Thailand in the period from 1 to 3 December 2010.  It was attended by 38 participants from 14 States and organizations.  The Observatory's Mr. P.W. Chan, Senior Scientific Officer was invited to be a facilitator of the workshop.  He shared with the participants on the windshear alerting service at the Hong Kong International Airport, including windshear detection methods, windshear alert phraseology and user education.
